Router Configuration¶

The AMTAB System’s Router uses an Advantech SmartFlex Router industrial router to isolate the internal network devices from external networks. Different models are fitted depending on the customer’s need, there are many different models able to satisfy many requirements.

The standard features are:

• 4G / LTE Modem - Together with the WireGuard Client this is able to provide remote support by AMTAB and access to external services such as a database.

• 3 Port Switch - One port dedicated to WAN (external network) which by default is configured with NAT and a DHCP Client. One port is dedicated to the Backplane / SIPR connection.

• Support for external antennas - If 4G connection is weak, an external antenna can be fitted to improve signal strength.

• 2 Digital Outputs - One dedicated to the System Cabinet Relay which is used to remotely power cycle the system if needed.

• WireGuard Client - Enables a secure remote access to AMTAB’s server, allowing remote support and monitoring.

The default configuration allows remote configuration via the integrated Web GUI or SSH and exposes commonly used services via port forwarding.

The router also exposes the AMTAB System GUI via HTTPS.

Login¶

The table below contains the default user/password combination in the default configuration. The password is usually changed during installation for security purposes. If the password has been changed it can be requested from AMTAB Support.

Same user account is used regardless of logging in via SSH or HTTPS.

The table below lists the configured forwarded ports in the default configuration. By default these ports are also forwarded to the WireGuard interface.
